Beliefs

God the Father
We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal, spirit perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayers; and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.( Genesis 1:1,26,27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 11 Corinthians 13:14 )

Jesus Christ
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might revel God and redeem sinful man. We believe in His sinless life, miracles, and teachings. We believe in His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, and ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and personal visible return to earth. ( Matthew 1:22,23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1;1-5, 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14,15; 1 Corinthians 15:3,4; Romans 1:3,4; Acts 1:9-11; I Timothy 6:14,15; Titus 2:13 )

The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ, and that He is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide. ( II Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:16,17; Acts 1:8; I Corinthians 2:12 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:1 )

The Trinity
We believe that there is one living and true God. Eternally existing in three persons; that these are equal in every divine perfection; and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence, and redemption. ( 2 Cor 13:14; Col 2:2; 1 Tim 3:16; Titus 3:4-6; Heb 9:14; 1 Peter 1:2; 1 John 5:6-7 )

The Word of God
We believe the Bible is God’s word to all men, written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit and is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without any mixture of error.(II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20,21; II Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:105,160, 12:6; Proverbs 30:5)

Human Beings
We believe man is made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. He is the supreme object of God’s creation. Although man has tremendous potential for good, he is marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called sin. This attitude separates man from God. ( Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1,2 )

Salvation
We believe that Salvation is a gift from God to man. Man can never make up for his sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can man be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ as his Forgiver and Leader by faith. (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8,9; John 14:6, 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1)

Eternity
We believe man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are literal places of eternal existence. ( John 3:16; John 2:25; John 5:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15; 1 John 5:11-12; Matthew 25:31-46)

The Church
We believe in the local church, consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ, baptized on a credible confession of faith, and associated for worship, growth, service, evangelism, and fellowship. We believe that God’s primary purpose of the church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ. ( Eph 1:22-23; Col 1:24; Matt 28;19 )

The Ordinances
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances to the local church, Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We believe that Christian Baptism is the public profession of faith in Christ by total immersion in water. We believe that Christ instituted the Lord’s Supper for commemoration of His death. We believe that these two ordinances should be observed and administered until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. ( Acts 2:41 I Cor 11; 20-34 )
